This site is my professional blog where I post anything fun that I want to. Notice how it has no ads. Ya, this is just for thoughts, not revenue.

Using the blog

This blog has posts broken down into logical categories (PowerShell, Sysadmin work, etc.), tags, and commands (cmdlets, functions, etc.). Each is indexed for easy perusing.

Comments are not added because I think blog comment sections are effectively useless. Instead, I plan to link to discussion places from the blog directly. We’ll see how it goes.

Getting to know Devin Rich

I am an IT professional with more than 10 years of work in the IT industry. I primarily work with automation, networking, and security in the financial services sector. I got my start in IT as a 15-yr old in high school where I ran/terminated ethernet cables and administered the school wifi. This experience in high school led me to get a B.S. in Information Technology - Network Administration. My wife and I live in Arizona (previously Utah) and have 4 children. Most recently, I have been playing around with NoSql in Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Functions.

Why did you start this blog?

I’ve got stuff to share that can help people out! Also, I got shadowbanned on reddit. I appealed the ban and it was reversed, but all content for my last ~8 years of history is now removed from all of my favorite subs. It’s frustrating to have so much of my time and content be so fragile, so I have decided to begin using a blog to host my own content. I’m going to go and pull that data from reddit and start uploading it to my blog.
